ELP Products in Pump Stations

The Eastern States of Australia have been experiencing severe flood events in late 2024 and early 2025. The damage has been exasperated by flood mitigation assets failing (such as pump stations). Water ingress into switchboards and electrical boxes, results in electrical safety devices being triggered, disabling these assets. When a pump station fails to pump water away from dams/reservoirs, there is overflow, and subsequent damage to downstream assets are catastrophic. Adversely if electrical safety protection devices (like RCBO) are not used or fails to operate, the people exposed may experience electric shock or death via electrocution.

By installing ELP’s eLynX Power Modules at the pump motor, critical instruments and the electrical switchboards, it will address both issues. The leakage current will not exceed safe which means, and the electrical devices will remain powered. That is the pump station will operate its critical duties and mitigate potential flooding.

The ELP eLynX devices will provide a safe environment for any person(s) nearby and installed equipment will still operate and achieve their functions.
